OUR OFFERINGS

At the heart of our business lies a commitment to empowering farmers directly and championing sustainable practices. Our mission is clear: to bridge the gap between conscientious consumers and responsible agriculture by collaborating directly with farmers and promoting sustainable production systems.

Heralding a new era of agribusiness where quality meets ethics, our ‘Direct to Growers’ Model specializes in cultivating and sourcing organic, regenerative and naturally grown products from small-farmer-focused FPOs and selling them in bigger markets including corporate buyers. We also empower FPOs through marketing, processing, digitalization, market insights, and shared infrastructure management, while also collaborating on field crop seed production and marketing. Across this new value chain, we ensure better income for our farmers, better produce for the markets and complete traceability and transparent transactions for all.

IMPACT ON SDGs

All our business operations at PAPL are interlinked to generate productivity, profitability, resilience, land and water resource development, enhanced income, and lifestyles to facilitate the multidimensional nature of sustainability in agriculture.  Through them, we aim to improve economic, social and environmental status of farmers, the country and the world thereby contributing to the below-mentioned vital Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

PAPL is dedicated to transparency and accountability in its mission to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). To ensure meaningful progress, we employ rigorous measurement and tracking mechanisms, allowing us to assess the impact of our activities and continuously drive positive change. We are compliant with many quality standards such as NPOP, NOP (organic standards), ROC (Regenerative Organic Certified), GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standards), OCS (Organic Content Standards), to confirm adherence to the SDG and ESG parameters. We also have a globally accepted methodology for impact measuring and reporting mechanism in place for SDGs, ESGs, etc.

PAPL, by its works of value chains development of sustainably grown agriculture commodities by small holders and their majorly women-led organizations, addresses many UN Sustainable Development Goals directly and indirectly, particularly those related to positive climate action.

WHAT WE DO

Whether it is improving farm conditions or livelihoods of farmers PAPL is working at full speed to create effective agriculture ecosystems that empower farmers and enhance participation of small holders in the value chain. PAPL works with several stakeholders across the ecosystem to effectively establish market linked production systems that deliver more bargaining power to growers leading to better incomes for them. Here is how we are creating sustainable businesses that matter.

Organic Cotton Value Chain Development

We are actively developing the organic value chain for cotton through creation of Organic Producer Groups (OPG), to ensure better yield and better income for our farmers through on-ground training and practical demonstrations. We engage in the inward and outward processes with focus on the reach, seed quality, processing, creating brand partnerships and market access to corporate clients. Our input suppliers, FPOs, banking partners and channel partners are important links in this value chain that help us improve processes, productivity and thereby incomes.

Input Management

As a Company that promotes sustainable farming, our Input suppliers are our vital channel partners. Our focus on input management results in superior quality produce through use of top-quality seeds, improved distribution, decentralization of production, use of organic fertilizers, and training sessions along with other technical and supportive measures. Together with the FPOs we identify the grower, train them and monitor them under our farm development program.

Seed Production and Marketing

Under this segment, PAPL partners with FPO farmers and engages in contract farming, to cultivate field crop seeds. Raw seeds are sourced through FPOs and processed in custom-hired processing units. Marketing is then carried out by PAPL’s team through the FPO and regional dealer network across the region.

Production and Marketing of Organic Crops

We help farmers produce various organic crops throughout the year. We train and handhold FPOs to adopt organic practices, develop traceability, encourage entrepreneurship, enable capacity-building and facilitate market linkages with reputed companies.

Marketing of Conventional Commodities

Our supply chain model is designed to meet the demands of the farmers as well as the markets. We identify and connect with genuine buyers and like-minded corporate partners through collection centres at respective FPOs to generate fair markets, improved bargaining power, reduced transportation costs and better incomes for traditional crops like rice, wheat, maize, minor millets, pulses and other cash crops.

Since its inception in 2020, the PAPL has completed multiple transactions with more nearly 100 FPOs majority of which are driven by women. We have also formed partnerships with reputed brands and their supply chain actors, such as Arvind Limited, ITC, Inditex, H&M, Best Seller, Carrefour, Nuziveedu Textiles, C&A, Pratibha Syntex, Wellspun, Vardhaman, Dhanuka, ABIS, Godrej Agrovet, Adani and several food and beverages brands in India. Avanti Finance, FWWB, and Samunnati Finance are the credit partners of the PAPL.
